Purpose/Overview:
• Ensure compliance with laws and SAMA regulations.
• Develop and implement compliance and AML programs to prevent violations.
• Oversee the compliance department and lead a team of professionals.
• Establish a culture of compliance and integrity.
• Advise and guide employees on compliance matters.
• Prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Identify and report suspicious activities.
• Ensure compliance with AML-CTF laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Compliance program adherence rate.
• Timely implementation of regulatory changes.
• Number of compliance-related incidents or violations.
• Regulatory audit performance rating.
• Suspicious activity report (SAR) filing accuracy and timeliness.
• Due diligence completion rate.
Key Accountabilities:
• Financial/Monetary (Revenue/Cost):
1. Minimize financial risks associated with non-compliance, AML, and CTF.
2. Mitigate financial risks related to money laundering.
• Customer/Client (Internal/External):
1. Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, such as managers, executives, and employees.
2. Conduct customer due diligence and risk assessments from a compliance and AML perspective.
3. Provide guidance to external clients on compliance and AML-CTF regulations.
4. Manage relationships with SAMA and regulatory bodies and financial intelligence units.
5. Address client inquiries and concerns about AML-CTF measures.
• Suppliers/Vendors (Regulators/Others):
1. Supervise/lead the AML system project with the Head Office.
2. Manage projects from AML and Compliance for other departments in the
bank.
• People/Employee (Department):
1. Lead and manage the development of subordinates.
2. Conduct staff performance reviews and put forth promotion nominations.
3. Provide required support to team members and colleagues.
4. Evaluate staff performance at the end of each calendar year.
• Internal Processes/Practices Productivity/Quality/Compliance/Reporting):
1. Review and update compliance policies and procedures.
2. Prepare and update a comprehensive compliance policy and get approval
from senior management.
3. Ensure that business and operations units regularly update policy and
procedure manuals, establishing necessary regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications & Capabilities:
Education:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Risk Management, Finance,
Law, or a related field or master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, AML, or a related field.
2. Prior experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
Special Requirements:
1. SAMA approval / non-objection.
2. Must be a Saudi National.
Professional Certifications:
CCO, CAMS, or a related field.
