Job Purpose
The individual in this role will lead Lamar's initiatives in driving growth and identifying new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with various divisions to implement strategies which enhance market presence and foster long-term partnerships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients and markets, aiming to improve sales and business growth.
- Maintain existing client relationships and develop new, strategic partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver pitches to prospective clients, showcasing Lamar’s unique value propositions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize revenue and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies tailored to market needs.
- Evaluate market trends and enhance business models to remain competitive.
- Provide regular feedback to senior management regarding performance, forecasts, and market challenges.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by senior management.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales.
Core Competencies:
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Language Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the business development team to achieve collective goals.
